danskate.com is taking a year off giving lessons!

danskate.com has been providing lessons and advice to beginner inline skaters in Surrey for 3 years. I have decided to take a break from giving lessons during 2008 to concentrate on training for and competing in some of the major skating events such as Le Mans, Goodwood Roller Marathon and Berlin Inline Marathon. Inline Skating is a fun sport enjoyable on many levels. It's a social sport with many organised events and meetings around the country with participants ranging from absolute beginners to people with many years of experience. Whether it's competing in a roller-marathon or simply skating around the park to keep fit, inline skating has something for everyone.

Many people are put off because they think that skating is dangerous or "just for kids". With the correct tuition and wearing the appropriate protective gear people of all ages can enjoy inline skating individually, with friends or with families.

Skating lessons teach people to skate safely and sensibly and are structured so that you get an excellent grounding in how to skate on which you can build skills and improve as you explore what inline skating can offer. If you're interested in starting skating or you've had a go and want to learn more then it's worth getting in touch with danskate.com. We are based in the Surrey area but we will make arrangements to travel to other areas for lessons.

Prices are:

       £20 an hour for an individual lesson

           £30 an hour for 2 people

           £40 an hour for 3 people

           Please call for larger groups

We teach individuals or groups normally in hour long sessions. There's no age limit (up or down!) to who we teach but we do insist that a responsible adult must be present for supervision for students under the age of 16. As skating is an extreme sport we recommend the use of full protective equipment when skating and insist as a minimum students wear wrist guards, knee pads and either a skating or cycling safety helmet.
